HOT MELT EQUIPMENT

Solent Technology's hot melt units and ancilliary equipment are designed to complement complement our minipleat systems.

The use of hot melt adhesive is integral to the formation of pleats in our minipleat systems.  It maintains the spacing between individual pleats whilst providing structure the the finished pack​​.

Additionally, the use of an auxiliary hot melt unit allows edge-sealing or additional, structural adhesive beads to augment the pleated filter pack.

Our progressive melt Dispensers are designed for use with both low and high viscosity hot melt adhesives.

FEATURES

  • Specially designed pump prevents "filled" adhesives from separating and jamming moving parts

  • Digital readout electronic multi-zone temperature controllers

  • Temperature and pump setting controlled by host process (via ethernet connection) or front panel

  • Proportional warm-up brings all zones gently to working temperature simultaneously giving:

  • Reduced peak power requirement

  • Reduced adhesive degradation

  • RTD temperature sensors for precision heating control

  • Cold zone pump protection

  • Variable speed pump motor

  • Balance valves to proportion flow through each hose

Our smaller Hot Melt Dispensers are designed for use with both low & high viscosity hot melt adhesives.

OPTIONAL EQUIPMENT

To complete the integration of the the hot melt system to the chosen minpleat solution, we offer custom hot melt components:

 

  • Hoses: Flexible, heated hoses.
  • Dispense Heads: Custom made, heated application heads incorporating valves integral to each of it's multiple nozzles for attachment to a SOLTECH® system.
  • Dispense Guns: Single nozzle units for edge sealing, etc. Normally used with our Auxiliary Hot Melt units
  • Hot Melt Adhesive: We can recommend adhesives suitable for use with these systems.
